Seperate Entrances
This photo is like the Water Fountain photo. This is a lunch cafe, but there are two doors. One says "White" and the other says "Colored". White people and black people couldnt even walk through the same door at one point. That's extremely sad. Also, one cafe is called 'Farmers Cafe'a nd the other is called 'Quick Lunch'. The cafe that was for black people shows prices on the front window. Their prices are more than 5 times the amount of money that white people had to pay for ther lunch. This isn't fair, at all. But there was nothing that black people could do about it, becasue white people most likely owned this cafe, and since they were 'better' than black people, they could make them do whatever they wanted them to do. It's sad to think that the United States, which seems so great, was once so racist. Take Rosa Parks, for example. She was a black woman but she couldnt sit in the front of the bus? That's pathetic. When people now a days read about that, it makes them sick to their stomach's thinking about that. Throwing her in jail because she wouldn't give up her seat? It's awful. It also makes people today think. Everyone deserves to be treated equally. EVERYONe. No matter what color skin, what nationality, or what religion. No matter WHAT, everyone desevres to be treated equally.
