Tent Picture #1

This picture is also very depressing; it shows a white family, with no father, living in a little tent in the middle of nowhere. It disturbs me how people could live in these types of conditions during the Great Depression. Many people were affected by the Great Depression, no matter what race. The saddest part of this picture is that the family consists of a mother, a baby, two kids under the age of seven, and a girl who is no older than 12 probably. I can’t believe that there’s no father to take care of them. It looks as if they have barely any food and haven’t taken a shower in a month. This picture seems unreal to me, but I know that these are the types of conditions that people lived in during the Depression and sometimes even worse.
