Seperate Entrances

This picture of separate entrances into a restaurant for blacks and whites is outrageous! I can’t believe that they couldn’t even use the same door. It’s not like you were going to get a disease from something that a person of a different race touched. This picture has proven to me that To Kill a Mockingbird will be about racism in the earlier part of the 20th century. I still can’t believe that even entrances were segregated back then. Its unreal how cruel white people were to blacks and how every single thing had to be segregated. I couldn’t imagine how hard life must have been for a black person back when segregation existed.
