Tent Picture

I can’t imagine living the way these people were living. I’m not really sure what time period this picture is from, but I’m assuming sometime in the 20’s. It’s very sad that people were so poor that they literally had nothing. Especially since these young children are living this way. I also noticed that there in only a woman in the picture. Maybe her husband was off hunting, but he could have left his family or died. The mother looks hopeless, which is really upsetting. You can tell that she is trying to keep her children safe, but the small lean-to that they are living in probably didn’t last too long. I feel very bad for these people and I wish they had been able to live better lives. If things were like they are today, most likely they would have a better shelter, and maybe a place to eat. I also wondered what these kids did for fun. They appear to be extremely bored. It’s unfortunate that people had to live this way then (and still do in many countries) and it’s a good thing that we have changed that in this country.
