Water Fountain

This is a picture of a water fountain. In the time that this picture was taken white people and black people had separate water fountains and African Americans could not drink out of the white water fountains. White water fountains were usually in better shape and there were more of them. This shows how unfairly African Americans were treated if they were not even allowed to drink the same water as white people. This water fountain doesn’t appear to be in very good shape at all. This water fountain is nothing to be proud of and it shouldn’t be kept from anyone. Even if this water fountain was a nicer one there is still no reason to prevent blacks for drinking from them. This shows how racist the world used to be.
