"Granddaughter's Sled"

“Granddaughter’s Sled” is a story of a man who was bringing his father out to the woods and was going to leave him to die. He allows him to come back to the village after his daughter brings him to the realization that he will have to be left in the woods to die when he is old too. It turns out that the man’s father saves the village when they are in a famine and the village learns to respect elders. I think in To Kill A Mockingbird something along these lines will happen and people will learn to respect others after they learn how it may help them in the long run.
