We Cater To White Trade

Signs like this one on a restaurant would be illegal to have today, but in history they were common. People were so rascist that not only were black people given different entrances, fountains, etc., they also weren't even allowed in some places. It actually could have been bad for the restaurant because thhey would lose customers, but restaurant owners were too rascist to care. What is even worse about these types of signs was that the government did nothing to stop them or other types of segregation, even when it turned into violence.
