Young reporter Lara Logan was brutally attacked and assaulted after reporting in Egypt on the resignation of their president, Hosni Mubarak. but while the rest of the 200 person crowd was celebrating and cheering no one happened to glance over the poor reporter who was being not only physically assaulted by a group of men, but raped. As of now Logan is still laying in a hospital bed trying to not only recover from physical damage the, possibly permanent, mental toll. Lara Logan was a highly accomplished reporter at CBS and no one expected to see, not even her, to be assaulted by maybe 200 Egyptian protesters for an agonizing thirty minutes. A group of local Egyptian women finally helped break up the violent attacks and saved Lara. The 39 year old, African native was unfortunately not treated with the same empathy that would be expected of a an assault victim. Many U.S. citizens even criticized choosing such a beautiful girl to cover the news. The reporter recently returned from her stay in the hospital to her home where she is still resting and recovering.
