We Cater To White Trade

It’s disturbing that people back in the start of the 20th century could do things like this. I can’t believe that the government and police forces would allow signs like this to be put up in public places like restaurants. People were very racist back then and treated blacks almost as if they were a disease. They put up signs, segregated public places, and even tortured and killed blacks. Today, it would be illegal to do this and someone would get a pretty severe punishment for doing it. I’m surprised that most restaurant owners got away with this and were not punished for their actions when blacks finally did gain their freedom. They got away with a crime that would be considered pretty severe now. This is unreal and outrageous that people were allowed to do this a little over 60 years ago.
