Field Picture
This picture is very depressing to me. I see a group of black men working on a cabbage field that seems to go on forever. It’s truly sad how cruel black people were treated while white people sat back, watched them work, and punished them severely for making one tiny little mistake. I also think that this photo was taken down South during the Dust Bowl. The crack ground made me think that the soil must be really dry and hard to plant crops. This was a lot of land for these men to pick these crops and I’m guessing that it must have taken 2-3 days to pick just what is shown in the picture. I can’t believe how much black people were expected to do back then and how white people treated them like animals just because of their skins. Their normal human beings just like everyone else on Earth.
