Longer School Years?!?!?!

I disagree with the proposal of a longer school year because, if we did have a longer school year students could become very stressed by the extra work, they can become even more stressed because of the heat and for other reason. Another reason this isn't a good idea in my opinion is because if there is a longer school year then the school would have to spend more money, to pay the teachers and staff, to power the school, and to air condition the school. If we don't have enough money to buy new supplies within the school then why use the money we do have to extend the school year?I also believe like many of my classmates that it would cause the rate of high school dropouts to increase because of the stress and frustration caused by going to school for a longer time. If Obama wants to start a longer school year for competition reasons I'm sure their are other ways to get students to preform better academically. If parents helped and interacted with their kids and helped them ad urged them on they would be doing better. There are different ways to better the academics grades of a student.
