I don't believe that books should be banned for a variety of reasons. If a parent or school official has a problem with a book make sure your child doesn't read the book or have it removed form the school district library. I feel that if a book is banned then it is banned because someone noticed something and didn't approve of something and got others to agree with them and work to get rid of it. The book that I am supremely against banning Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. This book is banned because of offending words regarding African Americans and because of the relationship described between the masters and their slaves. I also think that they shouldn't ban books written during a certain time period with historically accurate language and events because the writers were just adding things that really happened or something that was really said of done during a certain time period. I also don't believe that books should be banned because if a book is banned it can take away someone else's chance of reading a book they may enjoy and not be offended with. all in all i am against banning books and support reading banned books and ignoring those who do all that they can to take books off the shelves. http://www.coverbrowser.com
