Cultural Background of the Times

The first thing that came to my mind as I was looking at the actors from the past was how much things have changed. The people that acted during the 1930’s were known for their singing, dancing, etc. Movies seemed to be more musical and play-like than they are today. I’ve never really watched any of these old movies. Honestly, I would have a hard time watching an entire movie in black and white. I’m so used to the high-definition that we have today. As I was looking at the actors, I noticed Shirley Temple. She was the only name that I was really familiar with. I would have liked to see her perform; you don’t see kids who do that stuff anymore. Back in the 30’s, it seemed like kids weren’t in the movies that often. Today, many kids are famous. Personally, I think movies back then might have had more quality. They weren’t made as often as they are today, and had better storylines. Movies have definitely evolved over the past 81 years.
